USC's Pete Carroll hung up on a conference call with reporters Tuesday after someone who identified himself as associated with a fake website asked Carroll in a garbled voice whether he rewarded his players by setting up dates with various Hollywood starlets.
Carroll asked the person several times to clarify the question, then answered it, explaining that matchmaking was not part of his duties.
The impostor asked a follow-up question related to a brand-name product that shares its name with the Trojans, according to Doug Lesmerises of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
Carroll then became upset and said, "Good job, Ohio State," before hanging up.
If anybody has a tape, we'd love to post it.
