Thirty-three players have kicked a field goal that has either won the game or tied the score on the last play of regulation or overtime since the start of the 2005 season, according to Marty Couvillon of cfbstats.com. But nobody can compare to what Fresno State freshman Kevin Goessling accomplished last Saturday.
Goessling's 58-yard field goal as time expired gave the Bulldogs a 30-28 victory over Utah State. It also was the longest clutch field since the start of the 2005 season. Marty has a complete list available on his site, but here is a partial look.
