Check out Syracuse defensive end Mikhail Marinovich, left, and punter Niko Rechul. They're co-owners of Hollywood Hookah, a smokehouse lounge that had its grand opening Thursday night. It's doubtful that coach Greg Robinson, who is expected to be fired any day (gee, wonder why?), was on the guest list. Pete Thamel of the New York Times was flipping through the Daily Orange when he came upon this article.
The 2,000-square-foot establishment, located just north of the Carrier Dome, features leather couches, wireless Internet, 42-inch flat-screen TVs — including TVs in the bathrooms — and 32 flavors of Al Fakher Shisha tobacco. Not bad for your run of the mill student-athletes.
Mikhail, the brother of Todd Marinovich, has been in the headlines before. He was arrested in March for breaking into a sports equipment room.
