It will bring in a few extra million and the kids will still have 10 days or so to cram for final exams in an attempt to maintain their eligibility for that all-important bowl game.
So let's get started. The fun begins Wednesday night when Middle Tennessee State travels to Louisiana Lafayette (-4).
Thursday night has Louisville visiting Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights are 13-point favorites.
Friday brings the Mid-American title game between Buffalo and undefeated Ball State (-14.5).
Here are Saturday's games: Navy (-11) vs. Army; Pittsburgh at Connecticut (-2.5); South Florida at West Virginia (-7); Washington at California (-33.5); USC (-30.5) at UCLA; Arizona State at Arizona (-10); Arkansas State at Troy (-11); Western Kentucky at Florida International (-9.5); East Carolina at Tulsa (-13); Boston College (-1) vs. Virginia Tech; Alabama vs. Florida (-10); Missouri vs. Oklahoma (-16.5) and Cincinnati (-7) at Hawaii.
