Rich Rodriguez wasn't the only person to leave West Virginia without paying all of his bills.
Strength coach Mike Barwis, who followed Rodriguez to Michigan, owes his former employer $50,000, according to Mike Casazza of the Charleston Daily Mail.
A Freedom of Information Act request revealed that Barwis' final employment agreement with West Virginia — drafted in July 2005 — stated that the coach was to pay a $50,000 buyout for terminating his contract without cause.
Although the contract contains no language detailing a schedule or deadline for payment, West Virginia officials reportedly are looking for ways to collect.
West Virginia sued Rich Rod last year to collect a $4 million buyout in the coach's contract. Rich Rod got off easy, having to fork over $1.5 million, with Michigan somehow getting stuck with the rest of the bill — $2.5 million.
