There are important problems facing this country, like getting rid of the Bowl Championship Series and starting a playoff. Instead of tackling such important matters, senator Tom Coburn of Oklahoma was forced to do best rendition of Elton John's "Rocket Man" before congressional staffers and cameras, making good on a wager he lost to senator Bill Nelson of Florida on the BCS title game.

According to the story on the link:
"Nelson chose 'Rocket Man' because he flew on the space shuttle Columbia as a congressman in 1986. If Oklahoma had won, Nelson would have had to sing the title song from the musical 'Oklahoma!' — which also happens to be the official state song."
