The Tennessee site Losers With Socks has posted a grainy image likely taken with a cell phone camera of what appears to be a Southeastern Conference coach enjoying himself while out on the town.
One person commenting on LWS writes: "Little Laney out drankin' with young co-eds while his Wifey is at home taking care of his infant Son. Terrible."
Update: We've heard from several people who wish to remain anonymous that Lane Kiffin is the man in question in the photo and that the blond sitting across from him happens to be Kiffin's wife, Layla. According to Rocky Top Talk, Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin is to the left of Kiffin. He was in Knoxville for a coaches clinic.
As for the snarky "Little Laney" comment on LWS, Rocky Top Talk identifies that poster as a Florida Gator fan who saw an opportunity to take a shot at the Tennessee coach.
Rocky Top writes: "I'm working on assumptions just as much as Wiz, but it sure seems to me that the implication of a wild and crazy night out was a whole lot of nothing exacerbated by typical rival sniping. But hey, it's Lane Kiffin and the most sensational theme just has to be the right one, right? Or at least, it's enough to write on to get a few quick hits.
"And that's how a perfectly ordinary setting and a perfectly ordinary Gator comment can turn into the innuendo of adultery. Can football arrive quickly? This must be one boring offseason."
I have no idea if that's Kiffin but the other guy looks like the Steeler's head coach Mike Tomlin.
