Andy Staples, SI.com: Hats off to SI.com, which says fans have the right to know how coaches vote each week in the USA Today poll, which is one of the determining factors in selecting teams for Bowl Championship Series games. SI.com has made open records requests to 51 of the 59 coaches at public universities for their coaches' poll ballots. Every ballot SI receives will be published.

The requirement (or even simple request) of coaches to make public their top 25 opinion ballot, is just more reason for them to refuse to participate in this opinion poll.
So by all means, alienate the coaches, and destroy at least that part of the opinion system.
Who cares and so what.
But the 'sickle cell trait' thing mentioned here, is truly so insulting and infuriating, that it transcends all stupid and trivial matters of 'spectator sports' in America.
You supposed 'journalists' want to advance and enable this 'sickle cell' angle?
Bury yourselves deeper than you're already buried, or just dig a hole more deep than most humans would ever descend.
It's one sick thing to invent such an insult, and another to advance and repeat it.
