Watch Alabama defensive tackle Marcell Dareus get away with a facemask on Louisiana State guard Lyle Hitt in the closing minutes of Saturday's game.
No wonder Nick Saban is standing up for Southeastern Conference officials!

One small problem. If you look at the play in HD, you can clearly see the rusher's hand is UNDER his helmet.

Seriously, how many no calls do you think you could find in a game like this? In ANY game? Like, for instance, #32 Eryk Anders getting held on the other side of the play?
LSU fans can play this game all day long, and Alabama fans can come back at them all day. Yes, there were calls that were missed. I'll bet if I had the time and inclination, I could also discover a half dozen holdings or pass interference penalties or whatever.
This is beyond silly at this point.

regardless of what side you come down on in the LSU v. Bama game, the SEC refs are horrible.
Sad to see refs take away opportunities. Sad.

Did peterson have an interception? Yes. Terrible call.
But it's not like Bama didn't have calls go against them. They had two huge completions called incomplete. Both times during critical situations.
