The remarkable Joe Paterno, 83, has guided the Nittany Lions to consecutive 11-win seasons, but racking up another will take some doing. Penn State travels to Alabama in the second week of the season and the Crimson Tide have not lost in Tuscaloosa since Nov. 17, 2007 — a 21-14 setback to mighty Louisiana Monroe. The Nittany Lions' other nonconference games — Youngstown State, Kent State and Temple — are pushovers. A trip to Iowa in early October and Ohio State in mid-November will be troublesome, but Paterno should have no trouble getting Penn State to a delightful postseason destination in his 45th season as coach. As a run up to the start of the season, the Wiz will display one poster each day until our supply is exhausted. Last year, the site displayed a record 69 posters.
Then we turn it over to readers, who will be able to vote on the poster of the year. Until then, send your team's poster schedule to jayzuma (at) gmail.com.
