Renee Gork, a reporter for Hog Sports Radio, wore a Florida Gator cap to Saturday's post-scrimmage press conference for Bobby Petrino. The Arkansas coach answered a question from Gork, then glared at her and said: "And that will be the last question I answer with that hat on." (Video is after the jump.)
On Monday, Gork was fired by Hog Sports Radio. Seriously. Over a friggin' hat.
Let the record show that Petrino, suddenly flush with loyalty to the Razorbacks, has been a man of many hats. At one point, he had three jobs in two years and seemingly flirted with every job that was open.
Who could forget his clandestine meeting in 2003 with Auburn officials while he was still coach at Louisville. Petrino lied about it until two reporters for the Louisville Courier-Journal confronted him with overwhelming evidence that the meeting took place, then he begged for forgiveness.
In 2004, he had interviews with Notre Dame, Florida and Mississippi before declaring his love once again for Louisville on Dec. 7.
On Dec. 21, he signed a new contract with Louisville. On Dec. 26, he interviewed for the opening at Louisiana State.
In 2005, he interviewed with the Oakland Raiders.
On July 13, 2006, he signed a 10-year deal with Louisville. On Jan. 7, 2007, he was named coach of the Atlanta Falcons. Later that fall — after 13 games — he quit to take the Arkansas gig, never speaking to the Falcon players he left behind.
"He's selfish. He's definitely a liar," tailback Warrick Dunn said at the time.
Added safety Lawyer Milloy: "This league is for men. Not everybody is built for this league."
Petrino might be able to get the Razorback Nation into a frenzy over a reporter wearing the wrong cap, but remember that given his track record, it won't be long before he decides to change caps again.

Wow, I take it you don't like Petrino.
I don't have any sympathy for the reporter. If she was working for Hog sports and wore a Gators cap what else would you expect? It wasn't just a "friggin' hat" and the "first hat on the pile" argument is laughable. She did something needlessly provocative and stupid and she lost her job.
