Sooners Win Shootout and Set Up Red River Showdown

Wiz correspondent Greg Laughlin spent Saturday night at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, site of the Oklahoma-Cincinnati game. As you can see from the T-shirt above, there is no love lost in Cincinnati for departed coach Brian Kelly, now working the sidelines at Notre Dame.

The Sooners escaped with a 31-29 victory in a game that featured more than 900 yards of offense. Up next for Oklahoma is Texas. The Bearcats, off to a disappointing 1-3 start, have a week off before playing host to Miami (Ohio).

Frontal Assault

The Central Florida-Kansas State game was delayed shortly after kickoff when a menacing front rolled through Manhattan. After the heavens opened up (video after jump), the Wildcats slogged to a 17-13 victory.

Sideline Hazard

We're all in favor of wheelchair access, but Florida might want to rethink its sideline policy after this play in Saturday's game against Kentucky. Thanks to Dr. Saturday.

Week 5

You have until Thursday night to get your life together. Then Week 5 begins with Texas A&M vs. Oklahoma State in Stillwater. The Cowboys are 3-point favorites.

On Friday, Brigham Young (-8) is at Utah State.
