A look at how prognosticators from around the country view the Week 8 games.
Lenn Robbins, New York Post: There was a time when even the thought of taking Navy and seven points against Notre Dame could get you arrested. But the Midshipmen, after losing 43 in a row to the Fighting Irish, have won two of the last three. Anchors Aweigh!
Mike Hlas, Cedar Rapids Gazette: Hlastradamus says Minnesota, a 9-point home underdog to Penn State, has to stand up and make a positive statement at some point this season, don't they?
John Tamanaha, NBC Sports: Never doubt the King of the Friday Night Special. He nailed last week's Cincinnati-Louisville game and is back on the Bearcat bandwagon. Cincinnati will brush aside visiting South Florida, 31-20. Book it!
Jon Wilner, College Hotline: OK, he missed on the UCLA-Oregon game, but his other three Pac-10 picks are guaranteed winners.
Double D, Boston Herald: Air Force racked up 351 rushing yards in a 27-24 loss to BCS leader Oklahoma in Week 3. Now Texas Christian, No. 5 in the BCS, gets its shot at the Falcons. Lay the points and take the Horned Frogs.
Mike Huguenin, Rivals.com: The Week 8 primer. Picking every game this season, he's 165-172-1 against the spread.
Heisman Pundit: Oklahoma seemingly plays its best in high-profile Big 12 games. Take the visiting Sooners and spot the 3 points at Missouri.
JD Hershberger, Sports Haze: Jake Locker has found his game and that's bad news for Arizona. Washington wins in the desert, 28-27.
Brett McMurphy, FanHouse: He started with an imaginary bankroll of $5,000 and is up $500. His best bet: San Diego State, laying the points, against New Mexico.
Tailgate & Cover: Seems like it has been forever since Arizona State won a game in the state of California. That will end Saturday.
Tony Barnhart, Atlanta Journal-Constitution: The Southeastern Conference's best offense (Auburn) takes on the best defense (Louisiana State). Expect Cameron Newton to get the edge.
Erick Smith, Campus Rivalry: Is Michigan State in for a scare at Northwestern?
College Injury Report: A look at who is hurt and who is healthy.
