The time has come for our annual look at conference bowl records. There are two charts with this post. Let's first look at how conferences fared against the spread the past five seasons.
Even though the Southeastern Conference is only 10-10 the past two seasons, it is a stellar 29-17 during the span. At the opposite end comes the Big 12, which is a dismal 12-27.
The Mountain West (14-10) and Independents (6-3) lead non-BCS leagues. The Mid-American (5-15-1) is the worst performer of them all.
No team covered the spread this past season like Hawaii. The Warriors were 11-2. Then there was Buffalo, which was 2-10, last among Division I-A teams.
