Paul Wulff returns for his fourth season as Washington State coach and although the team has lost 10 or more games in each of his seasons, there are signs the Cougars are about to turn it around. A manageable nonconference schedule could mean a 3-0 start and although the first two Pacific 12 games are on the road — at Colorado and UCLA — it's not out of the question that Washington State could be 5-0 or 4-1 entering an Oct. 15 home game against Stanford.
