The season kicks off Thursday night and runs through Monday night. The biggest game on the board is being played Saturday night in Arlington, Texas. Louisiana State is listed as a 1-point favorite over Oregon at the time of this post. The over/under is 55.
Thursday night's games of note: Wake Forest at Syracuse (-6.5) and Nevada Las Vegas at Wisconsin (-35).
On Friday, Texas Christian is a 6-point favorite over Baylor.
Saturday's key games: Northwestern at Boston College (-3); UCLA at Houston (-3); Minnesota at USC (-21); South Florida at Notre Dame (-10.5); Brigham Young (-3) at Mississippi; Fresno State at California (-10); Boise State (-3) at Georgia and Colorado at Hawaii (-7).
On Sunday, Marshall visits West Virginia (-21) and Southern Methodist plays Texas A&M (-15.5).
Monday's game has Miami vs Maryland at Landover, Md. Two Las Vegas sportsbooks currently list the Hurricanes as 5.5-point favorites.
