It's primetime for the Mid-American Conference.
The conference that will play any night of the week has two games on Wednesday. Western Michigan plays at Miami (Ohio), with the RedHawks favored by 1.5 points. Ohio takes on Bowling Green in the other game, with the Bobcats favored by 6.5.
Three games on Thursday, with the featured contest taking place in Blacksburg. North Carolina and Virginia Tech square off, with hometown Hokies favored by 10.5. In the other games, Marshall (-12) travels to Memphis and Southern Mississippi (-23) is at the University of Alabama Birmingham.
On Friday, the nation gets a chance to see high-powered Oklahoma State do its thing at Iowa State. The Cowboys are favored by 27. Friday's other game has Toledo (-14) at Central Michigan.
Saturday's games of note: Virginia at Florida State (-17); Vanderbilt (-1.5) at Tennessee; Louisiana State (-29.5) at Mississippi; Arizona at Arizona State (-10.5); California at Stanford (-19); Nebraska at Michigan (-3.5); Penn State at Ohio State (-6.5); Cincinnati (-3) at Rutgers; Kansas State at Texas (-9); Boston College at Notre Dame (-24.5); Louisiana Tech at Nevada (-7); Southern Methodist at Houston (-20); Mississippi State at Arkansas (-13); Miami (-1) at South Florida; Oklahoma (-14.5) at Baylor and USC at Oregon (-15.5).
