Alabama Cheap Shot

Alabama's LaMichael Fanning gets called for unnecessary roughness after power slamming Missouri running back Russell Hansbrough in the closing minutes of the Crimson Tide's 42-10 victory over the Tigers on Saturday in Columbia. The officials then look the other way when Missouri players rough up Fanning on the next two plays.

East Carolina Rolls Past Memphis, 41-7

Wiz correspondent Greg Laughlin was in Greenville over the weekend. The hometown East Carolina Pirates took on the Memphis Tigers in a Conference USA matchup before an announced crowd of 45,137 at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.

The Pirates blew past Tigers, 41-7, and remained in contention for an East Division title.

South Carolina Pours It On Against Georgia, 35-7

Southeastern Conference football under the lights. What could be better?

Wiz correspondent Greg Laughlin took in Saturday night's Georgia-South Carolina game in Columbia, which was won by the Gamecocks by the surprising score of 35-7. Bulldog quarterback Aaron Murray and linebacker Christian Robinson were in for a surprise when they return to Athens. The house they shared had been "egged and rolled," Robinson said on his Twitter account.

Officially, It's a First Down for Alabama!

A rather interesting spot and re-spot of the ball during last Saturday's Mississippi-Alabama game.

USC

USC produced a double-sided poster. Side one, above, features eight players and the schedule. Side two introduces the athletic department's new branding program, "WE PLAY."
