Wiz correspondent Greg Laughlin ventured into the fog Wednesday night to attend the Mid-American Conference game between Miami (Ohio) and Bowling Green at Bowling Green, Ohio. Food and Fun on the North Side

Wiz correspondent Greg Laughlin joined 23,085 other brave souls at Ryan Field in Evanston for Saturday's game between Northwestern and visiting Miami (Ohio). Gray and gloomy conditions didn't discourage tailgaters from enjoying themselves before kickoff, and the hometown Wildcats didn't disappoint once they teed it up, improving to 4-2 with a 16-6 victory.

Cincinnati: Best Team in Ohio?

Cincinnati and Miami (Ohio) played for the 114th time on Saturday, the longest continuous rivalry west of the Allegheny Mountains and the second-oldest among Division I-A institutions. Wiz correspondent Greg Laughlin made the trip to Oxford for the RedHawks' home opener, and the No. 10 Bearcats — the highest-ranked team to ever visit Yager Stadium — cruised to a 37-13 victory. On Sunday, Cincinnati moved to No. 8 in the Associated Press poll, making the Bearcats the highest-ranked team in Ohio — one spot ahead of Ohio State.
