'Touchdown Toby' Tries His Hand at Other Sports

Stanford tailback Toby Gerhart, who leads the nation in rushing yards entering Saturday's games, is also a major league prospect as an outfielder on the baseball team. But could this two-sport standout be just as successful in another sport?

The Cardinal decided to go with "We Work" as their marketing campaign. It hasn't gone over well in the Bay Area. Jon Wilner of the San Jose Mercury News wrote, "Personally, on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it a minus-16." FanHouse's Clay Travis had this to say: "You know what I'm offended by? A smart school being so stupid. Can I retroactively withdraw my Stanford Law School application? The one that got rejected 25 seconds after it arrived on campus?" OK, the slogan ain't great, but the design, done by Old Hat Creative, is top notch.

Harbaugh and His Royal Throne Causing a Stink

A private luxury bathroom and shower has been added to the office of Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh at a cost between $50,000 and $70,000, according to Jon Wilner of the San Jose Mercury News.

"It was something I'd asked for," Harbaugh said. "It cuts down on drag."

By drag, Harbaugh means time. The nearest bathroom was about 20 steps down the hall from the football office and the nearest shower was two floors below Harbaugh's desk.

UCLA Has the Finishing Touch

Derrick Coleman (above) and the UCLA Bruins stiff-armed their way past Chris Evans and the Stanford Cardinal. The Bruins went 87 yards in 11 plays to score the winning touchdown with 10 seconds left.
