Chuck Long is out and Brady Hoke is in as coach of the Aztecs, who haven't had a winning season since 1998. Despite being one of only three Division I-A teams in talent-rich Southern California, San Diego State has been unable to keep top-flight players from going elsewhere. Heisman winners Marcus Allen (USC, 1981) Rashaan Salaam (Colorado, 1994), Ricky Williams (Texas, 1998) and Reggie Bush (USC, 2005) grew up within a 15-mile radius of San Diego State, but none even gave the Aztecs a look. If Hoke can tap into this talent resource, winning will certainly follow. A reminder to click the image to see an enlarged view. Thanks to Sean!
