Making a rap video about your team and posting it on YouTube has become the thing to do this fall. First came Oregon's Supwitchugirl, whose "I Love My Ducks! (I Smell Roses)" has been watched nearly 500,000 times since it was posted in November. (View it after the jump.) The group has since profited from the sale of T-shirts.
Earlier this month, somebody who goes by Notti Boy followed with the video posted above (watch at your own risk) that throws praise upon the Iowa Hawkeyes. It has been watched over 75,000 times.
Notti Boy has since been ripped to shreds for the video, with critics saying it gives new meaning to IOWA — Idiots Out Wandering Around.
Who is Notti Boy? His real name is John Siemering and he's from Cedar Rapids, which serves as the backdrop for the video. He earns most of his income from construction framing.
"I didn't think it would be this big," he said. "Then it was on the news, and things got crazy. I think I had my first panic attack. I didn't know if I was scared or excited. My hands were shaking, my blood was pumping. I was in the interrogation room."
You forgot The GTG's from Georgia Tech. They became a hit on GT campus for their rap video mocking people who change from engineering majors to management majors back in April 2008. The athletic association got ahold of them, and they made a rap video for GT Football 2008 "Perfect Option" and GT Football 2009 " 'Reck Style". Just wanted to inform you of the rap videos that came before Oregon and Iowa!
