Vote for the Cheapest Shot of the 2010 Season

We're back with the cheapest shots of the 2010 season. These plays have been featured on the site and now it is up to our readers to select the cheapest of the cheap shots.

Review each play and vote at the bottom of the post. You get to vote only once, so choose carefully.

This is the fifth year the site has featured cheap shots. A late hit by Texas A&M's Kellen Heard on Colt McCoy was selected the cheapie of 2006. A chop block by Auburn's Chaz Ramsey on Louisiana State's Glenn Dorsey was voted the cheapest shot of 2007.

An block by an unidentified Auburn lineman on Alabama's Luther Davis was the cheapest shot of 2008. Oregon's LeGarrette Blount was a runaway winner in 2009 after punching Boise State's Byron Hout.

We do our best to collect all cheapies during the course of a season, but plays are always missed. In some cases, videos of cheapies are removed after being posted on the site.

Arkansas Cheap Shot

Even though the season is over, cheap shots are still being uploaded to YouTube. Watch Arkansas offensive guard Wade Grayson go after the left knee of Ohio State defensive tackle Cameron Heyward during the Sugar Bowl.

Fairley Gets in Yet Another Cheap Shot

Even on the national stage, Nick Fairley couldn't help himself. The Auburn defensive tackle, often called the dirtiest player in college football, got flagged for a penalty after messing with LaMichael James' facemask at the bottom of a pile during Monday's game. 30fps has an animated gif of Fairley's cheapie.

Stewart Mandel of SI.com tweeted after the game that James said his postgame conversation with Fairley was "all love" but "I told him he was cheating because he kept grabbing my facemask."

Another Auburn Cheap Shot

Watch Auburn's Eric Smith with the knee-to-the-crotch move on an Oregon defender well after the end of a play in Monday night's Bowl Championship Series title game.

Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death!

Watch as No. 58 of Central Florida throws a punch at No. 3 of Georgia at the end of Friday's Liberty Bowl, won by the Knights, 10-6. We're not sure of the identities of the players because there are two players assigned each of the numbers on the team rosters.

Update: Central Florida coach George O'Leary says Georgia player Washuan Ealey started it all. According to O'Leary, the Bulldog running back shoved Knight defensive end Troy Davis after the game.

Texas A&M Cheap Shot

Watch Texas A&M defensive lineman Tony Jerod-Eddie grab the junk of Nebraska tight end Ben Cotton after Cotton recovered a Cornhusker fumble in the first quarter.

Cotton, who started kicking Jerod-Eddie after the Aggie defender started giving him the business, was penalized 15 yards for a personal foul. Moments later, he got flagged again for unsportsmanlike conduct, putting Nebraska in a third-and-44 situation.

Cornhusker fans are in a rage over the officiating in Saturday night's game. Nebraska was penalized 16 times for 145 yards. Texas A&M, which entered the game among the most penalized teams in Division I-A, was flagged only twice for 10 yards.
