The good news is the Spartans return eight starters on offense. The bad news is the offense scored only 165 points last season, the lowest-scoring total since 1970. Back then, they only played 11 games. Mike MacIntyre is the new coach, replacing Dick Tomey, and the former Duke assistant plans to toughen up the team with a run-first mentality. He won't get any help from the schedule in turning around last season's 2-10 finish. San Jose State opens with road games at Alabama and Wisconsin. In Week 4, the team travels to Utah.
As a run-up to the start of the season, the Wiz will display one poster each day until our supply is exhausted. Last year, the site displayed 69 posters.
Then we turn it over to readers, who will vote on the poster of the year. In the meantime, send your team's poster schedule to jayzuma (at) gmail.com. Thanks to Michael!
