Several big games on this week's schedule, which starts Thursday night with two conference matchups.
The first involves Big East members South Florida and Pittsburgh. The Bulls are undefeated and the hometown Panthers are trying to avoid a third consecutive loss. Pittsburgh is a 2.5-point favorite at the time of this post.
The other game involves Conference USA West Division members Houston and Texas El Paso. The Miners will be trying to repeat their feat of two years ago when they stunned the Cougars, 58-41, in El Paso. Houston is a 17.5-point favorite.
Friday's game features Utah State at Brigham Young. The Aggies upset the Cougars last year, 31-16. BYU is listed as a 9-point favorite.
Saturday's games of note: Air Force at Navy (3); Nevada at Boise State (-27.5); Texas (-10) at Iowa State; Michigan State at Ohio State (-3); Alabama (-4.5) at Florida; Baylor (-4) at Kansas State; Clemson at Virginia Tech (-7); Nebraska at Wisconsin (-9.5) and Mississippi at Fresno State (-4.5).
