A high school player from Ohio could face legal action after it was determined he pricked players from an opposing team with a sharp object during the postgame handshake.
The incident occurred last Friday after the game between Washington Court House and McClain. The 16-year-old player from Washington Court House worked his way through the line and stuck 27 McClain players with what was most likely a tack embeded in his glove. The players later received tetanus shots because of the incident.
The player has been dismissed from the team and the county prosecutor is considering filing charges.
