South Carolina's Steve Spurrier uses his bully pulpit to call out Ron Morris of the Columbia State on Tuesday rather than talk to the columnist privately like a man. Then he picks up his toys and walks out of the news conference.
Spurrier returned later, only to see Morris still in his seat. Then he left the room for a second time.
Meanwhile, former starting quarterback Stephen Garcia has been dismissed from the team because of a failed drug test. Garcia, a senior, had been suspended five times before Tuesday. Spurrier, of course, issued a statement rather than face the press.
Instead of just labeling Spurrier as a jackass, how about explaining why you think so, and are siding with the sportswriter. Do you know him personally? Do you know for a fact that Morris didn't fabricate the story?

Of course I'm siding with the sportswriter. A journalists would never fabricate a story! Besides, Spurrier was covering for his quarterback Garcia, who just got tossed from the team.
