Oklahoma State, which was ranked 111th in total defense before Saturday, then gave up 507 yards and 45 points to Kansas State, is going to move into the No. 2 spot in the Bowl Championship Series standings, according to the BCS Guru.
If the Cowboys win out, they likely will play in the BCS title game on Jan. 9 at New Orleans. Before Saturday's wild 52-45 victory over Kansas State, Oklahoma State's marquee victory came on Sept. 24, a 30-29 win at Texas A&M.

The Guru projects that Stanford will be No. 4, Boise State No. 5 and Oklahoma No. 6. The official BCS standings will be released on Sunday night.
