UAB gets a fresh start under Bill Clark, who takes over for Garrick McGee. McGee seemed overmatched from the start and finished a two-year run with a 5-19 record. The biggest embarrassment came in McGee's finale — a 62-27 beating at the hands of Southern Mississippi. That ended the Golden Eagles' 23-game losing streak. McGee had clearly lost his team and Clark will be an upgrade no matter what.
