Oregon was a bit of an afterthought in the first playoff rankings, pushed aside by SEC bias, but gamblers know best, don't they? The Ducks are now favored to win the playoff, according to odds posted by Bovada.
On top of that, Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota remains the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy.

Come on man. Someone that understands the odds would realize that the SEC schools listed would will have the toughest time making it to the playoffs. That is why their odds are worse than Oregon's. Doesn't mean Oregon is better. If Alabama was schedule to play Oregon on Saturday, which team do you think would be favored? I'll give you a hint - Alabama. Gamblers knows best after all.

You make a good argument, James. At the same time, I don't believe that Alabama is the team it has been, especially at quarterback. Oregon clearly has an edge at that position.
