Tough times in Ypsilanti. Eastern Michigan has won only 14 games the past six seasons and — get this — hasn't had a winning season since 1995. Eagles fans are looking for signs that coach Chris Creighton's rebuilding plan has a solid foundation. The team won only two games in Creighton's first season.

Chris Creighton takes over as coach at Eastern Michigan, which hasn't had a winning season since 1995. Creighton has considerable head coaching experience, fashioning a 139-46 record in 17 seasons as coach at Ottawa University in Kansas, Wabash College and Drake. Can he do it at this level? We're about to find out.

Toledo Goes the Rout in Beating Eastern Michigan

Wiz correspondent Greg Laughlin spent Saturday night at the Glass Bowl in Toledo, where the hometown Rockets took on Mid-American Conference rival Eastern Michigan. The Rockets became eligible for a bowl game with a 55-16 victory. Toledo rolled up 729 yards on offense, the third-highest total in team history.

One Man, Two Games, One Day

Wiz correspondent Greg Laughlin kicked off the 2010 season in grand fashion Saturday, taking in two games in the great state of Michigan.

Greg started the day in East Lansing, where Michigan State played host to Western Michigan. Then he raced to Ypsilanti to watch Army and Eastern Michigan battle in Rynearson Stadium.
