Just Another Saturday Night on the Bayou for LSU

Sam Wasson of Bleed Crimson was in Baton Rouge for Saturday's game between New Mexico State and Louisiana State. The Tigers rolled to a 63-7 victory and play Auburn on Saturday. LSU is a 7.5-point underdog on the opening line. New Mexico State plays host to Georgia Southern and is a 14.5-point underdog.

New Mexico State

New Mexico State kicks off our 2014 tour of poster schedules. The Aggies, coming off their fourth 10-loss season in five years, move to the Sun Belt Conference after spending 2013 as an independent. The schedule — regarded as one of the easiest in Division I-A — should help turn things around. The team printed its poster in the shape of the state.

Boston College Wins First Road Game in Two Years

Boston College at New Mexico State? Yes, it actually happened. In one of the most unusual matchups of the 2013 season, the Eagles traveled Saturday to Las Cruces and came away with a 48-34 victory, the team's first road win in two seasons. (B.C. beat Miami, 24-17, on 11-25-11.)

Tailback Andre Williams ran for a team-record 295 yards to put Boston College within a victory of becoming eligible for a bowl.

When there's nothing else to sell, there's always hope. We've combed through YouTube to find the best 34 season ticket videos. It's broken into three posts because if we put them all in one, it would take forever to load.

New Mexico State

Welcome to New Mexico State, which has lost 11 games in a row, the second-longest streak in Division I-A to Southern Mississippi, which has lost its last 12.

It was an equally unkind start to the offseason. Less than two weeks before national signing day, DeWayne Walker left to become an assistant with the Jacksonville Jaguars. And with the Western Athletic Conference dissolving its sponsorship of football, the Aggies were without a league, facing the possibility of dropping from the ranks of I-A.

New Mexico State found Walker's replacement in Doug Martin, who was Kent State's coach from 2004-10. The Sun Belt stepped up and agreed to add the Aggies in 2014, but the team will compete this fall as an independent.

Frankly, the schedule is brutal, with games at Texas and UCLA. But Minnesota and Boston College will make trips to Las Cruces and the team has #BestHomeScheduleever displayed on the bottom of its poster.

New Mexico State

Conference realignment is a cruel business. Consider the case of New Mexico State, a member of the Western Athletic Conference. The WAC will be down to only two football-playing members in 2013, and the Aggies are one of the teams (Idaho is the other). Barring an unforeseen development, this is the last season of existence for the WAC, and New Mexico State is looking for a lifeline.
